And the most romantic day has finally arrived......

Well, it's here. Valentines Day!

Ahh the name itself, sometimes gives people goosebumps!

Me? Well, lets see.... I started my day by coaxing my pooch, Loki the Lab, off our spare room bed, where he was cuddling his newest toy, "Nellie the ephalump!"

Finally he stretched and came downstairs to eat his breakfast. Obviously after running round the living room like a "loon" first!

Then it's like any other normal day of running around, getting ready, getting him ready, so that he can be dropped off at Doggy Day School.

Incidentally, I did notice that a special someone had not managed to leave a lovely card out for me. Aww, maybe he's waiting for later to present me with my card and present. I certainly left enough hints round the house of what I would like!

Like this beautiful design, which really did capture my attention. It uses all the techniques that I am currently learning to do. Now the question is, will my husband notice the printed out page on the coffee table with a big arrow pointing towards it? Probably not!

In the meantime I'm hoping that I can produce something that is equally as break-taking as this piece.

Looking around at the world that surrounds us, really does bring out your imagination when coming up with jewellery designs.

For example, the ripple of water across a pond, can create the perfect design for a pattern on a cuff bracelet.

Tree branches intertwined with each other, creates that woven look that you sometimes see on some jewellery pieces. There is certainly enough around to supplement your ideas.

I also find creating a scrapbook of jewellery you see in magazines, online, in photo's, is a really useful way to remember what you have seen around you. And it does help to form your own personal design that is unique to anything else you would have seen.
